OPENING OF A REFURBISHED PLANT IN SLOVENIA

Ilirija, development, production and marketing of cosmetics products, has unveiled a refurbished production plant in Lendava. The opening was attended by the Ilirija d. d. company board of directors and Ilirija Group employees. The comprehensive overhaul of the plant costed approximately EUR 5 million.

Ilirija d. d. has opened a refurbished and technologically advanced hair and facial cosmetics and hair colour production plant in Lendava. Subrina Professional products will also be produced there. This investment will enable us to easily follow modern trends that require state-of-the-art products and ingredients that are as natural as possible. Despite the global recession, this provides us with a positive outlook for the future. Our long term goal is to strengthen our position as a high-quality producer of professional cosmetics products at the local level, as well as on numerous (33) foreign markets.

The unveiling started with an inaugural speech by the President of the Board, Mr Danijel Petrovič, which was followed by cutting the ribbon to formally open the plant. Mr Petrovič also said: “This day represents yet another, probably the greatest confirmation of Ilirija's long-term strategy to focus its know-how, development and production in the area of cosmetics. We have proved that we can and do run faster than the competition and the crisis, despite burdens from the past and troubles of the present. This day serves as a confirmation of that, and it provides motivation and momentum for the future, for we can only get better from now on.”

The ceremony was attended by the employees from the Ljubljana and Lendava parts of the company, as well as representatives of subsidiary companies.
